Take your smile beyond dentures and bridges with implants. Dental implants are often a great permanent alternative to partial dentures and bridges. Whether you are missing one tooth or multiple teeth, implants can be the solution to restore function and beauty to your bite and smile.
Dental implants look, feel, and work like your real teeth. Because implants mimic the root of a natural tooth, bone loss around the tooth is reduced. The jawbone can stay strong and youthful looking. Dental implants are a clinically proven restoration with an extremely high success rate. Dr. Forsberg works closely with the area’s oral surgeons and periodontists during the implant process. His final porcelain restorations will give you the beautiful, healthy, gorgeous smile you deserve.
Whitening your teeth is a safe, effective, and FUN way to do a simple smile makeover. Natural teeth that are stained, discolored, or dull will often respond nicely to teeth bleaching. Our office offers 2 different bleaching alternatives: take home trays or BriteSmile in office whitening. Results vary per patient.
Bleaching your teeth at home will involve a couple of office visits. The first visit will allow us to take a custom impression of your top and bottom teeth. From this impression, we will make custom, soft, flexible trays to fit your mouth exactly. During your second visit, we will make sure the trays fit well, instruct you on use, give you the product, and send you on your way. We recommend bleaching for 1 to 2 weeks to see the best results. You may choose to wear trays at night or for 30 to 60 minutes during the day.
BriteSmile is our in office bleaching solution. We allow 2 hours for the procedure. This allows plenty of time for before and after photos, a quick exam by Dr. Forsberg, answering any questions you may have, AND actually doing the procedure. All you have to do is lay back, relax, and let us do the work!
Both bleaching solutions can give you a whiter, brighter, smile you will love.
Imagine being able to go to the dentist without fear. Imagine being able to accomplish all of your dental work in as little as one appointment. Imagine being able to smile with confidence and chew your food without pain. ! Also, you generally will have no remembrance of any of the dental procedures performed (amnesia)
If fear has kept you putting off years of dental work, Sedation Dentistry maybe a solution for you. Oral conscious sedation is safe and effective. It has been used for over 30 years with countless dental procedures. It is also an effective solution for people with severe gag reflexes.
There is a choice of sedation medications that can be used. The choice is customized based on your individual medical history. Ninety-eight percent of our patients use Triazolam. This medication has been used for many, many years and has now found a home in dentistry.
Its historical safety alone gives us great confidence in using Triazolam. In addition, while you are sedated you are continually monitored for blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen levels by a pulse-oximeter. Baseline readings are taken prior to your sedation appointment.
The most common side effects of this type of sedation are dry mouth and hiccups. The hiccups usually last only a few moments while you are sedated and the dry mouth wears off with the medication.
Some people ask, “What if I am too sedated?” The pharmacology and pharmokenetics used today are just fantastic. We have a reversal agent that can wake you up immediately, with no side effects.
Having someone drive you to and from your sedation appointment and spending the rest of the day with you is required. All you need to do is wake up to a healthier, more attractive smile!
Our hygiene department is very proactive about “Gum Care”. We want you keeping your teeth FOREVER! Periodontal disease is not only painful, but it causes bad breath, and is the leading cause of tooth loss.
Healthy gums are also essential in keeping your body healthy. Studies have shown a direct correlation between periodontal disease and heart or cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and premature or low birth weight babies. Keep in mind that healthy gums do not bleed when brushing or flossing. Our Complete Gum Care Program includes:
